Description
Scale Insects are small, immobile pests that adhere to plant stems and leaves, secreting a waxy protective covering. Their feeding weakens plants and produces honeydew, leading to the growth of sooty mold.
Characteristics
Often appearing as small, oval bumps on plant surfaces, scale insects vary in color from brown to white. Their protective wax makes them difficult to remove, and they gradually sap the vigor from infected plants.
Control Methods
